Analysis of polls for February 2025
In February 2025, we had the remarkable event of three companies that usually have regular monthly surveys not presenting polls. In the same month, we had intense social unrest with the rallies for the Tempi. We do not know the reasons that led these companies to not publish political surveys or if the two events are connected. We speculate that perhaps some companies considered the intense social unrest an aggravating factor in the best possible depiction of political findings.
This resulted in seven companies presenting surveys that contained voting intention and only three of them performed regression processing. Thus, the data we present for February 2025 have a smaller range of surveys and, by extension, potential reliability compared to the analyses of other months when we collect more polls.
With these data, we observe that in February 2025, Course of Freedom shows a very significant rise that brings it to fifth place, dropping SYRIZA to sixth place among the parties. We also observe the continued decline of the two major parties and the stabilization of Hellenic Solution in third place, displacing the KKE to fourth.
New Democracy is a liberal-conservative political party in Greece. In contemporary Greek politics, New Democracy has been the main centre-right to right wing political party and one of the two major parties.

New Democracy LATEST POLLS
New Democracy is showing downward trends in its voting intention rates as well as its adjusted rates after a four-month period of stabilization. This drop brings New Democracy to 27.43% after reduction (vote estimation) and results in it recording rates close to the lowest readings of -13.13% since the 2023 elections as well as -0.88% after the 2024 European elections.

The Panhellenic Socialist Movement, known mostly by its acronym PASOK, is a social-democratic political party in Greece. Until 2012 it was one of the two major parties in the country. After a decade of poor electoral outcomes, PASOK has retained its position as one of the main Greek political parties and is currently the second largest party in the Greek Parliament.

PASOK LATEST POLLS
PASOK, after four months of continuous increase in voting intention rates, has for the third month a significant downward trend in the February 2025 opinion polls. The downward trend is recorded by all five voting intention polls. The same is true after regression, where all surveys record a decline. Despite the continued decline, it maintains a percentage of 15.53% after regression (vote estimation), which is +2.74% above the percentage of the European elections and +3.69% above the national elections of 2023

The Greek Solution is a political party in Greece founded by Kyriakos Velopoulos. The party is right-wing to far-right and has been described as ideologically ultranationalist, national conservative.

Greek Solution LATEST POLLS
The Greek Solution shows a particularly significant increase in February 2024. After this increase, the Hellenic Solution stabilizes in third place in the voting intention polls and in the polls after processing the regression (vote estimation). With the highest percentage it has ever recorded at 10.93%, it is higher by +1.63% than the percentages of the European elections and higher by +6.49% than the percentages of the 2023 parliamentary elections.

The Communist Party of Greece is a Marxist–Leninist political party in Greece. It was founded in 1918 as the Socialist Workers’ Party of Greece (SEKE) and adopted its current name in November 1924. It is the oldest political party in modern Greek politics.

KKE LATEST POLLS
The KKE shows an upward trend of about half a percentage point in the voting intention polls and after processing. The upward trends are not enough and thus the KKE remains in fourth place behind the Greek Solution which stabilizes in third place among the parties. The KKE is estimated in the surveys after reduction (vote estimation) at 9.37%, slightly up by +0.12% from the percentage of the 2024 European elections and up by +1.68% from the parliamentary elections of 2023.

Course of Freedom is a Greek left-wing political party founded in 2016 by the former President of the Hellenic Parliament, Zoe Konstantopoulou.

Course of Freedom LATEST POLLS
Course of Freedom presents within a month one of the largest upward trends recorded in opinion polls of all parties for several years. This magnificent rise brings Freedom Voyage to fifth place, displacing SYRIZA to sixth place. We calculate Freedom Voyage in the percentage of voting intention at 6.79% and after reduction (vote estimation) to 8.97% almost three times the percentage from the European elections by +5.57% and +5.80% from the parliamentary elections

The Coalition of the Radical Left – Progressive Alliance, best known by the syllabic abbreviation SYRIZA, is a centre-left to left-wing political party in Greece. It was founded in 2004 as a political coalition of left-wing and radical left parties, and registered as a political party in 2012.

SYRIZA has trends of stabilization in the percentages of voting intention at rates close to 6.5% and in the percentages after reduction at 8.20%. In the polls after processing (vote estimation) it remains at the same percentage of January 8.20% which is however considerably lower -6.72% than its percentage in the European elections and -9.63% in the parliamentary elections.

The Voice of Reason is a far-right ultranationalist political party in Greece. It was established in 2023 by Afroditi Latinopoulou, a lawyer and a Member of the European Parliamen.

Voice of Reason LATEST POLLS
The Voice of Reason, after six consecutive months of increases in voting intention rates and in the percentages after reduction (vote estimation), is showing decreasing trends. Despite the drop, the Voice of Reason is estimated at 5.27% in the polls after reduction (vote estimation), well above +2.23% from the European elections and +4.84% compared to the 2023 parliamentary elections.

The Movement of Democracy is a political party in Greece, founded on November 23, 2024 by Stefanos Kasselakis. It places itself in the area of the “modern center-left” and progressivism.

The Democracy Movement has been detected in the polls for the fourth month and has a tendency to not be able to maintain or increase the percentages of the first polls. In any case, we are waiting for more polls to have clearer conclusions.

The Democratic Patriotic Movement – Victory “NIKI” often shortened to simply Niki (Victory), is a right, far-right political party in Greece. It was founded by educator Dimitris Natsios in 2019.

NIKH LATEST POLLS
NIKI has maintained its downward trend in voting intention rates even after the reduction for about five months. This ongoing trend brings NIKI for the first time below the 3% electoral threshold to 2.5% in the polls after the reduction (vote estimation), lower by -1.87% than the percentage in the European elections and lower by -1.20% than the percentage in the national elections.

The European Realistic Disobedience Front, or MeRA25 (Greek: ΜέΡΑ25), is a left-wing Greek political party founded in 2018. Its founder and General Secretary is former Syriza MP and Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis.

MeRA25 has not shown any significant changes in its percentages over the last ten months. It has stabilized at 2.70% in the polls after rising (vote estimation) slightly above the European elections by +0.16% and above the national elections by +0.20%.

The New Left is a centre-left to left-wing democratic socialist political party in the Hellenic Parliament. It was founded on 4 December 2023 by eleven independent MPs who left the Syriza party. The president of the parliamentary group is Alexis Haritsis.

The New Left, after a long period of decline, shows signs of recovery. In the polls after the reduction (vote estimation), the New Left reaches the highest percentage it has recorded since the European elections at 2.93%, higher by +0.48% than the percentages of the 2024 European elections.
